“Every organization is smarter than some of the decisions it makes.” — The Integration Gap™

Booking & Process

How does booking Joe Curcillo work?

Start with a free 30-minute planning conversation, where you and Joe talk through your audience and goals. Once you've found the right fit, Joe can hold your date for three days while you finalize details. You'll also get a full set of planning resources — a one-sheet, stage introduction, AV/tech requirements, headshots, and program bios — to make working with your team easy. Schedule your planning conversation here, or reach Joe directly at 717-433-2200 or Joe@joecurcillo.com.

What does it cost to book Joe as a speaker?

Fees are flexible and depend on your event — the format, the date, the location, and what you need beyond the keynote itself. Rather than a fixed rate card, Joe works this out with you directly during your planning conversation. Schedule a planning conversation to get a quote.

How far in advance should we book Joe?

Joe's booking timeline is flexible — he can hold a proposed date for three days once you've had a planning conversation, and can often work with shorter timelines than a typical speaker. If you have a date in mind, the best next step is simply to reach out and ask.

Does Joe customize each keynote for the audience?

Yes — every keynote is built for your room, not pulled off a shelf. Joe doesn't deliver canned presentations. Your planning conversation comes first, and the content is shaped around your organization's specific challenges and your event's themes. Start that conversation here.

Can Joe speak virtually?

No — Joe speaks in person only. His programs are built around live-room dynamics, audience interaction, and stagecraft that don't translate to a virtual format.

What does Joe need from us to prepare?

What Joe needs from you depends on your specific event — your audience, your goals, your timeline, and your venue all shape what preparation looks like. That's exactly what your planning conversation is for: Joe will walk you through what he needs once he understands your event. Schedule a planning conversation here.

Keynote Topics

What are Joe Curcillo’s keynote topics?

Joe speaks on three signature frameworks: Hold the Horizon™, The Generalist’s Advantage™, and Symphony of Disciplines™. If your event is about leading responsibly with AI, Beyond the Prompt™ is Joe's book and keynote built specifically for that conversation. For a full overview of how these fit together, see Joe's leadership keynote speaker page or his strategic thinking keynote page.

“Your greatest opportunities — and your costliest mistakes — are hidden between your experts.” — Joe Curcillo, Leadership Keynote Speaker
What is “The Generalist’s Advantage™” about, and who is it best for?

This keynote shows your organization how to connect expertise across silos in a complex world — your specialists become more successful when they learn to think together instead of working in isolation, without sacrificing the depth that makes them experts. It's built for association conferences, executive leadership retreats, annual meetings, corporate leadership events, cross-functional leadership teams, government agencies, and organizations in construction, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and technology. Explore the full program here.

What is “Hold the Horizon™” about, and who is it best for?

Hold the Horizon™ helps you maintain direction when the path keeps changing. You'll walk away with a practical framework for leading through uncertainty without losing direction, momentum, or your team's trust — built for leaders navigating sustained uncertainty who need to keep their organization focused. Read more about this keynote here.

What is “Symphony of Disciplines™” about?

Symphony of Disciplines™ turns your separate areas of expertise into one coordinated strategy. Explore this keynote here.

“Every organization is already an orchestra. Talent is rarely the problem.” — Symphony of Disciplines™
What’s the difference between Joe’s keynote topics?

All of Joe's programs start from the same idea: your problem usually isn't intelligence, it's integration. From there, each keynote gives you a different lens. Hold the Horizon™ helps you maintain direction and trust through uncertainty. The Generalist’s Advantage™ helps you break down silos through cross-disciplinary thinking. Symphony of Disciplines™ helps you coordinate separate specialist expertise into one strategy. And Beyond the Prompt™ helps you preserve human judgment while using AI.

“Strategic thinking is no longer about seeing farther. It is about seeing wider.” — Joe Curcillo, Strategic Thinking Keynote Speaker
What is “The Integration Gap™”?

The Integration Gap™ is the distance between what your organization knows collectively and what you actually use when a consequential decision gets made. Most organizations don't have an expertise problem — they have an integration problem. Learn more about closing your Integration Gap here.

Working with Associations & Boards

Does Joe work with associations specifically?

Yes — associations bring Joe in specifically because he's served as a president, board member, attorney, and executive advisor, so he understands association leadership from both sides of the table. Your members walk away with practical tools, shared language, and decision frameworks they can use immediately in their teams, boards, and organizations. See why associations bring Joe in here.

Does Joe have keynotes designed specifically for association conferences?

Yes. His core frameworks — The Generalist’s Advantage™ and Hold the Horizon™ — are packaged specifically for association audiences, drawing on what serving on boards himself taught him about leadership. See the association-specific keynote lineup here.

Does Joe speak specifically on board governance?

Yes. In Board Governance in the Fog™, Joe helps your board govern well even when the full picture never arrives in one place. Drawing on nearly three decades of courtroom experience, he'll teach your board members to recognize what's missing from what actually reaches the table, and to ask sharper governance questions that catch problems while they're still small enough to fix.

“A board only sees what makes it to the table — a report, a summary, a recommendation already filtered through someone else's judgment.” — Board Governance in the Fog™
Does Joe work with the construction and trades industry specifically?

Yes. In Leadership for the Trades, Joe applies the Integration Gap™ directly to your jobsite. This program is built for general contractors and construction executives, trade associations and builder exchanges, project leadership navigating multi-trade coordination, and any organization losing time and margin to handoff failures. You can also browse articles written specifically for the construction and trades industry.

“Every trade did its job. The project still failed. Your crews aren't the problem. The gap between them is.” — Leadership for the Trades
Does Joe speak to credit union audiences specifically?

Yes — Joe speaks to credit union and financial-industry leadership audiences, and you can browse articles written specifically for the credit union and financial industry to see the kinds of challenges he addresses for this sector.

Does Joe offer anything beyond keynote speaking?

Yes — if your organization needs more than a single event, Joe offers strategic advisory work in three formats: an Executive Intensive (60–90 minutes or a half-day) for high-stakes decisions or recurring problems, Leadership Team Alignment sessions (half-day or full-day) to reduce friction and clarify roles, and an ongoing Strategic Advisory Retainer for sustained outside perspective. This is advisory work, not executive coaching. Learn more about strategic advisory here.
